Seriously, I hate school. Why? OK, first lets talk about new rule on the SMK Derma this 2009.

First, every wednesday and Thursday, the class will end on 4pm.Then every 1 period of the subject is 1 hour, if that day got 2 period, then 2 hours of class -,- sheyt, I need mp3 and jokes to survive that long, tomorrow will start bringing my NDS to cover up.

And many great teachers moved out, maybe they hate the principal, which I think I know why.

2nd is last night, RODS aka Ragnarok Online DS just released, but its in japanese, just played it on my NDS, and its just awesome, the battle is quite nice using the touchscreen, I just played it like 20 minute only, but there is tons of story telling.To play it, you have to read all the japanese, click click like 10 minutes its intro.

3rd, yesterday, my last tuition, which is Physic.Fuh, atlast.I was thinking that this never ends.Atlast!Haha, now I have to study myself which is impossible right now due to clan activity

Last Thursday, I bought a graphic card for my pc, MSI Geforce 9400GT cost about RM250 and Guitar Hero On Tour cost RM150.The GHOT is 2nd hand.Now still waiting for both of the item, I guess will arrived around this Tuesday. =/

4th, is around last weeks, I created a Gamecard Signature manually, haha just fooling around.Anyway, here it is, feel free to comment.

ok, the most important is, be sure to check you got everything that list above.The wrist strap is luck, sometime you get, sometime you don’t.And I didn’t get it =/.The most important things is the DS itself and the AC adapter,Charger.Be sure to check the charger support your country volt, for example at Malaysia, its volt is 240v.So, check the charger it is support 240v or not, usually its contain the upper part of the charger, its listed there.For example here, the european type of charger, 240v.

Now is about the price, DSphat is not available anymore, even it if available, who would want it?Better buy a NDSlite cause its slimmer, more battery life and have more backlight setting.Ok, currently, NDSlite is about RM500-RM570.From what I’ve reasearch lah, maybe not the same to some of the country.Anyway, that price is just the basic DS package, no games. I bought mine about RM500, straight imported from japan from my brother. Anyway,

Ok, next is about Dead Pixel,When buying a DS, please check for dead or stuck pixels which is visible when the screen changes. A stuck pixel is a pixel which has only one colour and are stagnant. It is easily visible when the screen changes scene. You will notice that the pixel remains the same color. That is a stuck pixel.Dead pixel is simply that. Dead. there is no colour. Only color you can see is black as the pixel is not functioning at all. Physical defects such as dents and cracks should also be checked as most shopkeeper would not allow you to change your DS with a new DS the moment you walk out of their shop.

Ok, next is about screen protection.It is advisable to purchase a screen protector for your DS as the stylus WILL scratch your screen after long term. One of the most popular screen protector that is available is HORI screen protector, a brand that is dedicated to console games. Price ranges from RM 20 to 30. Depending on where you purchase it from.Usually, the shop will give it free to you, depends on shop lah.

DS  protection is also important, the DS is tends to get scratch easily due to glossy skin of it,Be sure to get a pouch for it.

Some DS have been known to have cracked hinge. Cracked hinge happened when the DS is opened too wide or forecibly open too fast. The hinge will appear in between the shoulder L and R button. Some only cracked slightly some are known to leave the DS incapitated into 2.
This is most commen on the white DS Lite. Only white DS lite have been known to prone to crack. There is yet any reported cracked hinge for every other colour.But there have been known issue for cracked hinge on every other DS Lite. It is heard that the every single DS Lite is prone to this problem too. But the white DS Lite suffer the most.

You take the role as 3 men in black (pun intended), this 3 men goes around the world dancing and moving to the tune of David bowie , Madonna, Steriogram, Avril Lavigne, Billy Fogarty, Earth Wind and fire, and various other artist. EBA is a rhythmic game which requires player to touch the screen based on the round number that appeared. EBA is ridiculously easy to play but extremely hard to master as the song moves from slow to fast and fast to slow. There are various level and high replayability value as the player moves on from one stage to another.

Preview:
You woke up to find that you overslept because your alarm clock battery died, while rushing to clean up, you cut yourself at the cheek while shaving. Running out of the house, you found that your shoes have been stolen and your socks have been shredded to pieces by the wild dogs. Running with your spare shoes towards the bus stop, you watch as the bus moved away from the station. While chasing after it, you tripped, fell and landed in a pile of mud, effectively ruining your clothes. This is only the start of your bad day. You are late, dirty and you missed the bus. There is this little inner child in all of us which squeal in delight every time we see something cute or pretty. A small part of us which wish that we have a stress free life, where we can fish for living, farm for food or lounge around doing nothing everyday. In comes Animal Crossing. You take control of an alter ego which was determined gender, looks and what not through a series of questioning before the start of the game. The game then throws you into a new town where you starts a new life, paying of debt and earning money. From there, it is free reign on what you would like to achieve in Animal Crossing.
The game uses DS internal clock to keep track of when and how long you have played. There is no estimated completion of time for this game as the existence in Animal Crossing does not stop. Every day can be played with different scenario, filled with new scenario. Neighbours in Animal Crossing awake and sleep at certain time, hence scheduling your playtime to fit their hour is needed if you want to build a relationship with them.
The surroundings and weather will change depending on the time of year, offering snow and rain in the winter and flourishing plants in the summer. The tides will change based on the hour. Certain animals will only appear at specific times and months. Should be awake early enough, you can watch the sunrise, then watch the stars appears as dusk settles in the evening. If you return to the game after a long absence, you’ll find that your house is filled with roaches and the neighbors missed you dearly. It is truly a dynamic environment filled with the little details that you hardly ever notice in your own life.
Starting of the game is tedious at best if need to be described. It took me 3 tries to immerse myself into Animal Crossing. It is one of the biggest mistake I ever made as I spend every free moment devoting myself to the Animal Crossing world. This is a must get for those truly wish to start a whole new experience devoid of everything else.

Recommendation for New DS owner: A whooping 4 and a half star out of 5!

Title: Mario Kart DS
Genre: Racing Sim

Mario kart DS is just that, a racing simulation. Mario Kart features a number of single-player grand prix that comprise of four races in each. There is a total of eight grand prix competition which basically means 32 different map to race in. A significant amount of those area not available until the select few that have been beaten. There are a total of 16 racing tracks that are new and 16 other which were taken from previous Mario Kart game. There are eight character to choose from with 2 more hidden character which can only be unlock when certain requirement are completed. Upon total completion of the game ( and I do mean total) every kart will be unlocked and can be driven by different character. Boosting the amount of Kart available significantly. There are also 54 mission available which requires player to perform certain task while racing through certain track. Each mission gets increasingly harder as it progress and provides a good distraction from all the racing.
But the gem of Mario Kart is not in its single player, contrary to all the goodies provided there. The gem is in multiplayer. Obtain one of this and plunge yourself in for hours of hectic racing and cursing against various other DS owner as you race your way to victory. Nothing more bring smiles to your face more then when a blue shell from you wreak havoc against your friends. With a good library of single player options and good multiplayer options, Mario Kart is a game to behold!

Recommendation for New DS owner: A 3 and half out of 5 stars!

Title: New Super Mario Bros
Genre: 2D Platform

How can anyone not associate Nintendo with Mario? How can a new Nintendo line of product be complete without the ever aging plumber in red which somehow manage to entice the princess of a country? The story starts off with Bowser Jr. Kidnapping the princess ( yet again ) and Mario needs to save her by running through eight world towards the right side of the screen while jumping onto the heads of enemies. Through the occasional use of Super Mario World secret exit and alternate path, you can just skip 2 world (don’t know why you would want to do that) The Singleplayer quest is the main meat of the whole game, there are additional modes available such as two-player Mario versus Luigi mode that pit you against another player in a short level that goes around. Star appears in the world and you must attempt to collect more then your opponent. If you hit your opponent with fireballs, jump on him or just hurt your opponent, your opponent will drop stars. Its fun for multiplayer.
This game is fun for those that have followed Mario from the day of old Nintendo. For new players though, this game is not half bad if you want a short adventure in between tea break and taking the train.

Recommendation for New DS owner: A 3 and half star out of 5!

Title: Trauma Center: Under the Knife

Trauma Center: Under the Knife is yet another in a recent deluge of anime-inspired adventure games for the Nintendo DS. In this one, you play yet another spiky-haired hero imbued with special powers on a quest to save the world. What’s the hook? This spiky-haired hero happens to be a doctor. The threat to the world’s safety, in this case, is medical terrorism. A rogue group with mysterious intentions is unleashing a man-made disease called GUILT upon the world, and it’s up to you to stop them. You’ll do that by doing what any good doctor would–performing a whole lot of surgeries. Wait, give it a chance. This isn’t just some stodgy medical simulation. Trauma Center is more of a challenging puzzler with medical underpinnings than anything even remotely medical-simlike. The game makes solid use of the DS’s touch-screen technology by putting the scalpel in your (hopefully) steady hands through a series of fast-paced, marginally insane surgical scenarios. It’s an offbeat game for sure, and at times it can be a little too tough for its own good, but DS owners with a strong stomach and an open mind ought to have a good time with Trauma Center.

All of the main action in Trauma Center takes place on the touch screen. Along the sides of the screen, you have icons for all your main surgical tools, like your scalpel, clamp, laser, sutures, and even a futuristic antibiotic gel that actually cures minor cuts, and disinfects anything it touches. The bulk of the screen is taken up by your patient. You’ll start off more often than not with an uncut patient that must be carefully cut open via the scalpel. Once in, you’ll find the affected organ. Conditions vary from patient to patient. One moment, you’ll be draining and removing tumors from someone’s pancreas, and the next you’ll be fighting off GUILT-infected tumors that actually will move around a given area, making them exceptionally difficult to nail down and remove. All of these cases require fairly specific orders of events, and the challenge comes from simply trying to manage all these different tasks while on the clock. Every surgery has a time limit, and all the while, a patient’s vital signs must be kept stable. If the vital signs drop, you can take a moment to inject them a few times with more magic gel to restore them, but that takes time. You’ll need to be extremely quick and mindful to succeed.

Trauma Center succeeds because it strikes such a good balance between its medical theme and its puzzler roots. It’s more than just a DS version of the old board game Operation, but it’s also not so complex that anyone couldn’t pick it up and enjoy it. While the mind-blowing storyline might lead some to scoff and the general brevity of the gameplay might give you pause, overall, there’s a fun time to be had with Trauma Center, and it’s definitely worth your while to check it out.

I know, some of you, some of us, will not be willing to pay a huge sums of money to buy a original games.Like PSP, DS also can play downloaded games from some site.Unlike PSP, its have to modded the firmware to play downloaded games, DS, you have to buy a flash cart.Like the one in the above pict, I’m currently using DSTT, there are many flash cart nowadays, R4, EDGE and others.The most popular one I think is R4.Anyway, those things, you have to buy a memorycard, usually micro sd like the pict above, save your download games in the memory card, the game file for example is blablabla.nds, and put in the memory card into flash cart, and put in the flash cart into ds.But before putting it, you have to put the firmware also.Firmware can get at internet, just check the official site of the flash cart.

I’m currenty using DSTT and the cost if about RM100, R4 I think is abour RM100++, others is basically almost the same price.Anyway, by using this, you can play online, play game for free by downloading only.But you support piracy.I do to, but lately I’ve been trying to buy game original, so lets us support original.

Ok, that conclude all the guide on buying NDS, next is about the NDSi.NDSi is currently new, but if you guys wanna know about is, just simple drop by here.Or check below, that is a comparison between NDSi and NDSlite.I’ve put it as a request from Joshuatly.Still, NDSi cannot play download games for now, and its still new.The Japan version just released last November.At Malaysia, also got couple of shop who sell it, but the price is quite high and its a Japanese version, Around RM899.Whats great about NDSi is its Camera, maybe later will have a game using camera.NDSi have a region lock.So to play Japanese game, you have to use a Japanese version of NDSi.But from my source, only the NDSi exclusive game will have region lock, meaning, game from NDSlite, still can play on NDSi without having any region lock.
